Coming soon....

At the behest of several friends and my brain, I need to have a place to keep my thoughts on all the things I find interesting or am passionate about. Some of you are new friends so I offer a quick introduction and promise to share more as we go along. I'm a California girl (born and bred) who happened to move to South Carolina in the Fall of 2017 with my husband (Norman) and toddler (P). That's a long story and deserves a blog post of its own. We now have a house and added a little girl (A) to our mix in late 2019. I am a singer and have mostly sung in church since I was very young. I currently sing at our church and with our kiddos. I found community theatre later in my young adult years before I had children and had a short stint as an actor there, singing show tunes and trying to dance. This reignited a love of musicals and set me on an obsessive path to experience more shows, traveling to New York and prioritizing seeing touring productions of Broadway hits. 2020 brought new things my way: a return to nonprofit work with an organization I've been a part of since its inception 13 years prior, and a return to the world of skincare and cosmetics. I worked in retail as a serum slinger and makeup artist for 6 years and had left it behind for a while. A friend introduced me to Rodan + Fields and it completely saved my post-partum adult acne and inspired me to become a brand ambassador to help others find the best skin of their lives and perhaps make some cash while doing so. It ended up being an incredible community of strong, brave, and fun women who I have the pleasure to call friends.

If you do know me, you know that I'll include a lot of the things I love: Jesus (the Christ, not my primo...although I like him too), Musical Theatre of the Broadway variety (including local and/or community theatre iterations), music in general, skincare, cosmetics, and makeup artistry, food, travel, exploring my native cultures, healthy (semi-hippy) living & [moderate amounts of] fitness. If any of these topics interest you, please join me on this journey. Please speak up and let me know if you read, what you liked, what you didn't, and what you might like to see more or less of. There's no guarantee that I'll listen to anyone...it is my blog, after all. However, with enough community involvement, I could be persuaded to open up about certain topics, organize events, and ask you to join me for meals or photo shoots, or shows, who knows?!

See you soon, lovelies.
